I am beginning to think that autumn and winter are my favourite times of year.
I call it hibernation weather.
Don’t get me wrong, I the beautiful colours that keeps popping up during the spring time and I also like sitting in the back garden under the brolly during summer.
My friends, there’s something about an early setting sun and wearing fresh pyjamas after a hot bath or shower, while settling for the evening that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Yes there are a few downsides to autumn and winter, but they’re my favourite times of year nevertheless.
The changing of the leaves, the wetness that washes away the dust of the summer makes me feel refreshed.
I love being on the sofa snuggled under a nice blanket, or in bed under the duvet. An occasional walk in the cold crisp air opens my lungs and makes me happy inside.
Note to self… Take frequent walks at night.
Oh and another thing I love about this weather is being able to light scented candles, turning the lights off and relaxing to a film or in the bath.
I know it’s cold this time of year and my bones feel the cold a bit more than some, but the feeling of holding a hot mug between my hands with my pyjamas and dressing gown on and a pair of cozy socks is just so heavenly.
I wonder what’s your favourite time of the year.
This is mine. Especially the upcoming holiday seasons filled with hood food, quality time with loved ones and off course, giving and sharing gifts too.
We’ll, that’s all for now.
I hope you’re enjoying this time of year.
