Bleep, bleep, bleep it’s slipping away.

Sometimes on our journey we take things for granted.
We forget to stop and observe.
We don’t take note of what’s going on around us.
Days turn into weeks,  weeks into months and months into years.

Sometimes the sparkle seems to go out.
Lights seem to dim, flicker then go out.
What do you do in these instances when you’re not sure which way is north or which way is up.

A feeling of gloom overshadows everything.
Slowly, slowly, you hear the ticking of the clock.
Passion and desire for anything and everything fades away.
You’re now existing rather than living and wondering if it’s even worth it.

How does one rekindle the flame.
Who is to blame.
Will it ever be the same.
It’s not how it started,
It’s not the reason I came…

What do you believe?

Today I have been thinking a lot about the word BELIEVE. Believing in self, in others, whatever spiritual practice works or not, in the system and the list goes on.

There are many things we may choose to believe in, or believe in by association or upbringing. We sometimes believe by default because we fail to find out for ourselves so we are happy with being fed any and everything.

Self Belief
To achieve anything, one has to have self belief. There is something about the mind that once powered up, leads the way to the resources that we need to complete our mission.
When we wake up in the morning, the things which we believe in or sometimes doubt, dictate where we will end up.

If we believe that nothing will go right, then it usually doesn’t.  You see, one gives much energy to an area of concentration and that determines the outcome.
I wish we understood the power in our thinking. That way we could control many things in our lives and avoid a lot of unfortunate events.

The mind is the fuel that drives the body. If it says no, then all system fail. If it says yes, then we can move mountains. Whatever we create in our minds, the universe feeds off it.
We need to decide what we want out of life and begin to create these things by first cleaning  our thought patterns.

Questions
We have to ask questions like:
1) What do I believe?
2) Where did this belief come from?
3) Is this how I really feel or is this society speaking for me.
4) How does this belief affect me?
5) Does this belief open my heart or make me judgmental.
6)Is this really who I am and what I want to represent?

One has to be able to stand up and be strong. It is okay for your view to differ from mine. We can believe different things while still treating others with love and respect.

What makes every religion believe that they are the right one?
What makes every parent think that their way of parenting is the best way, even when all children respond differently?
What makes the education system assume that Every child learns in the same way?
What makes every political party Believe that Their party is the best to govern a country?
What makes some races believe that they are superior and what makes other races live in an inferior mentality?
What makes two people who’ve nurtured identically end up with one being a success and the other a criminal or living in poverty?
What makes some live in mediocrity from generation to generation while other thrive and surpass every expectation?
It all comes down to this…Belief!

It is said that,
“as a man thinketh in his heart, so he is”.

.

What are you thinking?
What and whom do you truly wish to be?

You and only you can make it happen. Not your religion, not your government,  your school, family or friends. Every idea can be presented to you, at the end of the day, it’s what you choose to believe.

Are you a no good, or do you stand firm and believe that
You are worthy, you deserve love, you deserve the best, you are unique and beautiful?

Only your thoughts can make or break you. Think before you act. Let your thoughts be constructive and positive, lest you crumble into nothing.

By no means is the process easy but like everything, we train hard to achieve our desired results. So too we must train our minds to think positive thoughts.

This I believe!

Healing Souls

It’s in our nature to rid ourselves of shame and lay the blame.

Things seem so much easier when we rid ourselves of responsibilities and don’t want to account for anything.

Even when we are hurt by things or people, forgiveness is the only thing that will bring the relief that we desire. It’s okay to forgive, it doesn’t mean you must forget. After all, ‘once bitten, twice shy ‘.

Give yourself a break. You feel like you always make mistakes?

So what, that’s life. We live, we learn, we move on sometimes we make mistakes all over again. You can either call us stupid or it can make us stronger. Either way , life goes on. It’s a cycle.

Now the thing about cycles is that we have to be careful of the constant web and circles that we find ourselves in. Though wisdom comes with experience, foolishness is no character trait to be proud of. The key point about making mistakes is to regroup and learn.

Can we learn from blaming others for where they have gotten us or what they have put us through? Truth may be that they did have a hand in our unravelling, but even that is not the important thing to note. How do we go on from there. Do we spend time blaming for the circumstances that we are in, the cards that we have been dealt, or do we put our best foot forward and recreate our story?

You see, just because someone kicks us to the ground, is no reason for us to stay there with our face in the dirt, begging for self pity. We get back up stronger than before and become a force to be reckon with. We take that negative energy and turn it around , because what was meant for evil will turn out for good, but we too must help our karma. That which we put in is that which will return. So let us not sit by and marinate in self pity, hate, self blame, blaming everyone and everything instead of taking a stance and commanding our lives.

Let’s drop that victim mentality and and focus on creating and building not expecting and waiting. If someone doesn’t want to see you flourish, you focus your energy and put all your efforts into creating positive and successful results. If they must stand by and feed off negativity, then woe be onto them, but shake it off and use that brush. Whatever people hate so much in others, is something that is buried deep within themselves. With hatred and intolerance is a trace of fear and ignorance. A very present fear of difference, instead of educating and embracing, we choose segregation and try to be superior. We think that we are better than, or sometimes lesser than when what we should be striving for is equality in every capacity.

All our energy and efforts and talent could make such mind blowing beautiful creation, but we choose to waste all of that on the negative.

Next time someone hurt you, abandon you, attack you, summon that lion within and put out that fighting spirit and show them you can rise above their ignorance and that you are destined for prosperity. They can choose to work with you or see your back while you move forward.

Own who you are. No one can take you away from the true you, unless you grant them permission. How we choose to allow others to treat us is up to us. What we are willing to tolerate and how we are prepared to stand up for ourselves is down to us as individuals.

No one can enter the core of your being and take from you what is embedded deep within, so it’s up to you if you want to hand them your soul so they can tear you down or you acknowledge the fact that you are deserving of love, of respect, of kindness and compassion and that you are EQUAL.
